Following that dream since 2010 . . .
Hi there! Jenn here! I'm the one who makes all of your jewels and writes those little notes you find in your packages. Thanks for stopping by and wanting to know a little bit about how I ventured down this road that I never even thought I'd be on. What a journey it's been :)
My background is not in jewelry at all, not in fashion, or design, or marketing, none of that! Business classes? Not one. Desire to be a business owner? Nope, never crossed my mind. So how did I get here? Sometimes I sit and ponder that question myself.Long story short, Blooming Lotus Jewelry took its roots back in 2010 while I was working as a pediatric Occupational Therapist with children with special needs. My coworker asked if I'd make her bridal jewelry, knowing I'd dabbled here and there with beading. It was at that moment, a little seed was planted. That little seed changed the course of my life. Wedding jewelry bloomed into more meaningful intentional jewelry, inspired by my yoga practice and mother nature. I began incorporating meaningful gemstones, hand-stamped mantras and hand-knotted malas. The response I received from my customers and within myself was different and I knew I found my niche. I have loved spreading smiles all over the world ever since.
I resigned in 2013 from being an Occupational Therapist to see where I could take Blooming Lotus Jewelry. I adore children and of course still have a strong desire support those with special needs. A percentage of all sales are donated to Support the Kid for Cancer.
When I'm not carving pendants or rings, hand-knotting malas and stamping mantras, I'm a lover of yoga, travel, laughter and pitaya bowls.
